Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of MapShare (MapShare), a hosted software service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
MapShare lets you upload, organise, view, and share 3D and geospatial scenes in a browser. We host the product on servers in Australia. Features may change during private beta.
2. Accounts and invites
Access may be invite-only. You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these Terms, or put other users at risk.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of files and scenes you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service (including sharing links you create). You must have the rights to upload and share what you put in MapShare. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.
4. Acceptable use
You may not attempt to break into the service, abuse rate limits, scrape other users’ private content, interfere with SharedArrayBuffer / viewer security controls, or use MapShare to distribute malware. Public share links are your responsibility — treat them like any other URL you publish.
5. Beta disclaimer
During private beta the product is provided “as is”. Features may be incomplete, unstable, or removed. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or zero data loss. Keep local copies of critical source data.
6. Plans and billing
Free and paid plans, storage quotas, and Stripe billing may apply as described in the product. Fees are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
7. Intellectual property
MapShare, its software, branding, and documentation are proprietary. These Terms do not grant you a licence to copy, reverse engineer (except to the extent permitted by law), or redistribute the product. Helper tools and desktop utilities remain subject to the same Terms when used with the hosted service.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MapShare is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits, or business arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim (or AUD $100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms excludes non-excludable consumer guarantees under Australian law.
9. Termination
You may stop using MapShare at any time. We may end or restrict access for breach, inactivity, or end of beta. After termination we may delete your content after a reasonable period, subject to legal holds and our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms; the version date above will change when we do. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of material updates where permitted by law. Questions: hello@mapshare.app.
